            2.
            Ministry update
            Dear
            Friends,
            It is
still winter in Maine, but in my spirit, I feel
            spring
coming on! The days are becoming longer and the
sunlight brighter. Thankfully spring is not far away.
            While
many are pouring over seed catalogs, planning their
growing strategy, and preparing for their 2010
            garden,
I have (surprisingly) given it little to no thought.
            At present,
gardening is a distant project that begs definition.
Allowing for the growing unpredictability of the
            weather,
our ultimate plan is to build a greenhouse. How and
            when
this will happen, we don't know. However, we will
            keep you posted.

In the meantime, life at The Living Way is growing
            more
lively each day as we happily help increasing numbers
of people realize a better quality of life. While
            health and
healing are only distant options for many, a select
            few are
putting the pieces together to build a better life.
            For this
we are thankful. Prayers are being answered and lives
are being mended! As the momentum gathers in favor of
the live food lifestyle, consider being a part of
            this 'raw
revolution.' Good things are happening, many of which
are local and free of charge.

Coming this month is our Fourth Annual LIVE
            FOOD
DINNER with guest speaker, Tom Murphy, of
            Vote
Hemp. This annual, potluck dinner is a splendid time
            of
healthy feasting and socializing. Tom Murphy will top
            off
the evening by educating about industrial hemp as a
valuable, healthy, renewable resource that deserves
cultivation on US soil. Hear the surprising history
            and
facts about industrial hemp and how it can enhance
            your
lifestyle and change the world for the better. Plan
            to join
us for this once-a-year LIVE extravaganza that is
            both
pleasing to the palate and the pocketbook. For more
            details, click here.

Recent word tells us that Drs. Brian and Anna Maria
Clement will be coming to Maine this month for a
personal visit and a possible presentation by the
            good
Drs. is possible. Details are not available as yet,
            but if a
scheduled event can be planned, we will let you know.
Allowing for the Clements' busy schedule, short
            notice
may be the order of the day.

You will notice that our LIVING Letter
            has taken on a new
look. Thanks to Carol G. from Colorado, we have taken
her friendly suggestion to make our newsletter format
more user-friendly. Notice that some re-occurring,
            helpful
information is provided in the side columns rather
            than in
the body of the newsletter. Easy access is our goal.
            Let
            us know how we're doing!

Speaking of changes, I am in the process of moving
            over
to a new computer, so if you fail to receive
            subsequent
emails from us, please let us know. As much as
            possible,
we pray this technical transition will be smooth.
            Please
            pray to this affect!

By way of comment, great and sweeping changes are
taking place in the world and these changes present
many personal challenges. Pressures from all sides,
especially politically, pose grave threats to
            personal
freedom of all kinds. The right to pursue and enjoy a
healthy lifestyle is being threatened like never
            before.
Educate yourself on this important issue and consider
becoming proactive lest you lose the freedom to buy
healthy supplements, go to a health food store or see
            a
naturopath or chiropratic doctor. Your health freedom
            is
on the line. Visit http://www.healthfreedomusa.org for
            more information.

In closing, we LIVING-Wayers continue to enjoy
            walking
on the high road of optimum health and thank those of
            you
who are joining us. We are encouraged to see lives
            being
set free physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
            Being part
of the healing process is a special blessing to us.
            Life is
a journey that does have happy endings. Discover and
celebrate life by participating in our events. Let us
            help
one another to better ourselves and our world. YHVH
            is
good and desires to bless His people. Therefore count
yourself in. Become a member of His team. You cannot
lose. Write, call or stop by when you can. We are
            here to
            help!

            3) Feature
            Article:"SPICE Up Your Life!"
            When presenting the
            raw truth about nutrition, confirmed
SADers often remark to me that they could never adopt
            the live food, "Hallelujah Diet,'
            because it would be
boring and too confining. In short, it would cramp
            their
lifestyle and leave them feeling 'deprived.' Deprived
            of
what, I ask myself, ...sickness, pain, and disease? I
hardly think there is a contest between the health
            benefits
enjoyed from a live food diet as opposed to the
            health
risks inherent in the dead, Standard
            American Diet.
            Nevertheless, such a response, though
            truthful, tells us
where the average American stands when it comes to
            valuing life.

Surprising as it may seem for those who are still on
            the
Standard American Diet, raw fruit, vegetables, seeds,
nuts, and whole grains is not a lack-lustre way of
            eating. It
is an exhilirating experience! Eating well is a
            lesson in
living life to its fullest, tasting the goodness of
            the land for
the sake of excellent health, prosperity, and
            longevity. A
diet of whole, naturally-raw foods is YHVH's gift to
            His
creation, a blessing that is designed to generate
optimum health, regenerate a sick or diseased body,
            and
perpetuate (extend) life. This lifestyle sounds good
            to me!

            Without a doubt,
'eating live' brings out the best in life.
Discovering the many health benefits and variety of
tastes found in naturally-live fruit, vegetables,
            seeds, nuts,
and whole grains is a wonderful surprise as well as
            an
on-going delight. Truly our Creator, YHVH Almighty,
custom-made these foods for our good. Furthermore, He
graced His marvelous plant creation with herbs and
spices that add a special touch to our eating
            pleasure, a
touch that is both tasteful and healing. For the sake
            of
pleasing your pallette while bettering your health,
            learn
how common but beneficial spices can literally 'spice
            up
            your life!'

            6) LIVING
            Recipe:
            Curried
            Collard Soup
            When it comes to
soups, I like mine raw and flavorful. In
the summer I use fresh, aromatic herbs for seasoning,
but in the winter, I rely on spices. Sometimes I like
            a
tangy soup and sometimes not. Nevertheless, when it
comes to spices, there are many splendid choices. I
especially like cumin and curry. This is a zesty,
            'meaty'
soup that is both filling and warming for the colder
            months.

1 medium tomato and/or few slices dehydrated
2-3 collard leaves, depending on size
            1-2 stalk celery
            3' slice cucumber (if available)
            1 large garlic
            few slices onion
1 tsp. curry (or to taste)
            1 pint pure water (approx.)
            In a blender, puree
            tomato, cucumber, and celery. Add
remaining (chopped) ingredients plus water and blend
until creamy smooth. If necessary, add more water.
            Pour
into serving bowls and garnish with paprika, hemp
            seeds
or dulse. Substitute Bok Choy if collards are not
            prefered
or available. Either way, eat up and enjoy!

            Organic ingredients
